Loc8code: Public Safety Initiative

Carlow County Council has launched Loc8code – an Emergency Access Points initiative designed to improve public safety and strengthen emergency response across the county.

Emergency Access Points are clearly identified locations that allow first responders to reach people quickly in areas where traditional addresses or navigation can be difficult. From rural landscapes and riverways to recreational spaces, these markers provide a simple, reliable reference that can be shared with ambulance, fire, or rescue services in the event of an emergency.

While coastal communities will be tackling litter on beaches, here in County Carlow we’re taking action along our riverbanks, because litter dropped in towns and cities is one of the leading causes of marine pollution.
