
Creative Ireland Carlow is excited to announce this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg programme, inviting all young people to get creative, try something new, show off their skills and take part in one of the 20 free Cruinniú na nÓg events taking place around the County on Saturday 7th June 2025.
The Cruinniú na nÓg programme is led by the local Creative Ireland Carlow Culture and Creativity Team, coordinated through County Council Arts Service, with huge support from local youth organisations, creative practitioners, and community groups. This year it includes everything from an Ice Cream Dreams - Creative Art Workshop in Borris library, a Let The Fun Shine Through Exhibition Launch at the Bishops House in Tullow, and the Children of Wolves performance event on the Tullow Road and in Bagenalstown plus much, much more!
Launching this year’s programme with participating young people in Bagenalstown, Cllr. Fergal Browne, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council said “This year Cruinniú na nÓg returns with a programme bursting at the seams with events to suit all ages. I’m delighted that Cruinniú na nÓg Carlow will feature events developed for, with and by seldom heard young people, helping to build new relationships and bring communities together”.
Speaking about the programme, Cathaoirleach of Muinebheag Town Council, Cllr. Tommy Kinsella added, “Local authorities – together with arts, culture, heritage, community groups and organisations– have always been key to the success of Cruinniú na nÓg and this year is no different. A special thanks is due to all who are contributing to make this programme the best one yet!”
Some highlights of Cruinniú na nÓg Carlow include, Fill Up My Senses Workshop at Carlow Library, a Sensory morning full of fun, music and storytelling, Wonder Walls Graffiti Project, at Visual inviting young people aged 12 – 18 to unleash their creativity through vibrant, collaborative murals! The Big Dig at Carlow County Museum, and Drumming Workshops with Carlow Regional Youth Services at An Gardin Beo.
So mark the date – Saturday 7th June, everything is free with events happening across Carlow!
