Carlow Householders Invited to Free E-Waste & Battery Recycling Events this May

Carlow households are invited to take part in free local e waste and battery recycling days this May, hosted by WEEE Ireland in partnership with Carlow County Council. Residents can recycle any item with a plug, battery, or cable – from large appliances and electronics to batteries of all sizes – safely and free of charge. The initiative makes it easy to clear out unused electrical items locally while supporting Carlow’s strong record in sustainable recycling and helping recover valuable materials for reuse.

Give Your Clothes A Second Life

Carlow County Council is encouraging residents to give unwanted clothing, paired shoes, and household textiles a “second life” through responsibly managed donations, as part of a national campaign aimed at reducing the 110,000 tonnes of textiles discarded annually in Ireland - the equivalent of about 440 million T-shirts.
