Homeowners in Carlow and the wider region are being encouraged to drop into the Carlow Home Energy Expo on Tuesday, 25 March, from 10:30am to 5pm at the Seven Oaks Hotel.

This free event will bring together independent experts, retrofit professionals, financial advisors and contractors – all under one roof – to help householders learn how to make their homes warmer, more comfortable and more affordable to heat.

A number of local businesses in Carlow have been shortlisted by Carlow County Council's Local Enterprise Office to compete for the honour of representing the county at the 2026 National Enterprise Awards.

Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to sample 6 events aimed at helping them to start or grow their business as part of this year’s Local Enterprise Week in Carlow. The initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, supported by Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, takes place from the 2nd to the 6th March this year across the country.

The streets of Carlow are set to ring with the sounds of the fiddle, harp, and pipe this Easter as the town hosts the International Pan Celtic Festival from 7th to 11th April 2026. A cornerstone of this year’s festivities is the newly unveiled Heineken Pan Celtic Pub Trail, an initiative that promises to transform the town’s local venues into a vibrant network of Celtic culture.

Carlow is preparing to welcome the Celtic world this April, as organisers today unveiled the preview programme for the Pan Celtic Festival 2026, which will take place from 7th to 11th April.

Carlow County Council invites craftspeople and creatives based in County Carlow to an informal, lunchtime focus group on Thursday, 5th February 2026, from 12.30pm to 2.00pm in Enterprise House, Carlow. Your input will set local priorities for training, mentoring, and resources under the Hands Across Generations programme. Lunch will be provided.
