Lightfest Brings Over 2000 People Together to Celebrate Christmas in Tullow

The magic of Christmas came alive in Brother Leo Park, Tullow over the weekend as over 2000 people gathered to experience the much-anticipated Lightfest Tullow. Hosted by Carlow County Council in partnership with St. Patrick’s GAA, Tullow, this festive celebration brought together families, friends, and community members for a day of joy and holiday cheer.

Powerhouse Celebrates County Carlow’s Female Entrepreneurial Achievements

The Powerhouse Awards 2024 hosted by Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office, proudly celebrated the exceptional achievements of female entrepreneurs in County Carlow. Over 120 female entrepreneurs and their supporters gathered at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel, Carlow, for the 2024 Powerhouse Awards, with Joanne Sweeney as the master of ceremonies These awards highlight and celebrate women's professional achievements, welcoming entries from female-led businesses in County Carlow.

Carlow Lights Up the Season with Spectacular Lightfest 2024

Carlow Town sparkled with festive cheer as over 3,100 people braved the weather to attend Lightfest 2024, a dazzling celebration that marked the beginning of the Festive season hosted by Carlow County Council. Families gathered to enjoy a rich program of live entertainment, festive treats, and community spirit, culminating in the arrival of Santa Claus and the illumination of Carlow’s Christmas lights with beautiful fireworks display on the River.

Transition Year Students from St. Leo's College Inspired by New Pilot Carlow’s Powerhouse Student Workshop

Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office hosted 22 future female entrepreneurs from Transition Year in St. Leo's College, Carlow for the Powerhouse Student Workshop. This pilot event was facilitated by Susan Hayes Culleton CFA, “The Positive Economist,” and managing director of the Hayes Culleton Group and #SavvyTeenAcademy, at the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow.
