Carlow Home Energy Expo to Help Cut Your Household Energy Bills

Homeowners in Carlow and the wider region are being encouraged to drop into the Carlow Home Energy Expo on Tuesday, 25 March, from 10:30am to 5pm at the Seven Oaks Hotel.

This free event will bring together independent experts, retrofit professionals, financial advisors and contractors – all under one roof – to help householders learn how to make their homes warmer, more comfortable and more affordable to heat.

Carlow County Council were delighted to host a Voter Registration event to coincide with the Student Development Day on 26th February 2026 in SETU, Carlow.  At the event Carlow County Council members of staff from the Franchise Team were available to assist people to update details on checktheregister.ie or register for the first time.

Through the Craft Work 4.0 All project, a co-funded initiative under the Creative Europe Programme, a dynamic partnership has emerged between Creative Spark, Carlow County Council and Louth County Council. This collaboration is designed to shepherd the Irish craft sector into the "Industry 4.0" era, ensuring that the tactile heritage of our makers is amplified, rather than replaced, by modern technology.

Six Events Announced for Local Enterprise Week

Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to sample 6 events aimed at helping them to start or grow their business as part of this year’s Local Enterprise Week in Carlow. Rubbish Film Festival Awards Celebrate Young Environmental Storytellers at VISUAL Carlow

The County Carlow Rubbish Film Festival Awards were held on the morning of Tuesday, 4 February at VISUAL Carlow, celebrating the creativity, commitment and environmental leadership of Transition Year students from across the county. Nine schools took part, with 12 TY students from each school producing a series of concise inspirational, high-quality short films.
