Town and Village Renewal Funding

Carlow County Council welcomes the announcement of funding by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys in the sum of €832,155 to complete four Town & Village Renewal Projects in County Carlow. The towns and villages of Tullow, St. Mullins, Clonegal and Carrigduff will benefit from this funding.

Carlow’s Focus on Tourism Future Brought to the Fore with Destination Development

Carlow has recently celebrated the successful conclusion of the Fáilte Ireland Destination Towns initiative, a ground-breaking project that will significantly enrich the visitor experience within the County Town. The project was generously supported by a €500,000 investment from Fáilte Ireland and aims to breathe new life into Carlow's Cultural Quarter and the wider town.

Tullow Road Community Hub Press Release

Carlow County Council welcomes and are delighted to receive approval from the Department of Rural and Community Development of grant funding of € 4,135,178 in respect of its application submitted under the Community Centres Investment Fund 2023 for the construction of a multi-functional community hub at Tullow Road Carlow. The overall cost of the project is €4,594,643 which Carlow County Carlow will match fund. It is anticipated that the construction of this project will commence in the 4th quarter of 2024.

The opportunity at hand entails the development of an outdoor artistic intervention—a mural painting on the Former Crotty’s Premises in Carlow Town.
