This comprehensive offering is designed to empower aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and professionals across Carlow with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's dynamic business environment.
Recognising the ever-evolving landscape of industries and the critical need for upskilling and reskilling, the Local Enterprise Office has compiled a diverse range of courses and programmes. From practical digital marketing skills to foundational business development, the 2025 schedule aims to equip participants with the tools necessary for success.

The Carlow Student Enterprise Awards (SEA) are gearing up for their highly anticipated finals, showcasing the next generation of innovative young entrepreneurs. Set to be held on the 4th of March 2025 the event will bring together talented students from across the region who have demonstrated exceptional creativity, business acumen, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Thirteen local businesses in Carlow have been shortlisted by Carlow County Council's Local Enterprise Office to compete for the honour of representing the county at the 2025 National Enterprise Awards.

Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to attend events aimed at helping them to start or grow their business as part of this year’s Local Enterprise Week in County Carlow The initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, supported by Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, takes place from the 3rd to the 7th March this year across the country.

Irish innovation and economic development experts played a pivotal role in the recent Peer Review on the establishment of an Open Innovation Hub in the Vidzeme Region, held at the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. The event, hosted by the Vidzeme Planning Region in collaboration with Interreg Europe’s Policy Learning Platform, brought together a diverse group of European stakeholders to discuss strategies for fostering a dynamic innovation ecosystem in rural regions. Carlow County Council is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2025 Festival and Events Grant Scheme.
