County Carlow Culture Night 2025 Programme Launch – 21st August 2025

One Night for All - Culture Night 2025 - Friday 19th September. Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir is brought to you by the Arts Council in partnership with and led by Carlow County Council Arts Service; it is a national moment, celebrating culture, creativity, and the arts.  In County Carlow on Friday September 19th 2025, doors will open across the county with special and unique events from the afternoon and late into the evening.  Culture Night seeks to actively promote the belief that rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives.

Press Release for Immediate Release – 21st August 2025 - From Local Stories to Global Markets: Carlow Launches Creativity Chats Podcast to inspire Makers and Artists

Creativity takes many forms — a handwoven textile, a piece of original art, a digital design, a craft steeped in heritage — and each carries within it a story. Carlow County Council's Economic Development Section, working hand in hand with the Library Service, is bringing those stories to life in a new way with the launch of Creativity Chats, a six-part podcast series presented by Alan Swan and funded by Creative Ireland.

Four Carlow Farming Families shortlisted as candidates for the national Farming for Nature Ambassadors Network

Four Carlow Farming Families have been shortlisted as candidates for the national Farming for Nature Ambassadors Network. They have been shortlisted, following collaboration between Carlow County Council, Carlow IFA, Carlow ICA, Teagasc, ACRES, NPWS, and partner organisations operating in the county, with the intention of having a Carlow representative in the National Farming for Nature Ambassador Awards in 2026.

Carlow Calls for Creative Talent to Join European Sustainable Craft Workshop in Sweden

Carlow’s creative community is being invited to take part in a unique opportunity that blends heritage crafts with sustainability and innovation on a European stage. Stone & Soul: Sustainable Lithography, Linoleum and Paper for Contemporary Artists is a three-day hybrid workshop and hackathon taking place from September 5–7, 2025, at the Craft Academy Sweden, hosted by the renowned Helliden Folk High School in Skövde, Sweden.
