Do you or your children need access to education?

  • TUSLA is the Child and Family Agency responsible for improving wellbeing and outcomes for children. Tusla Education Support Service (TESS) is working with the Department of Education to support families arriving from the Ukraine in accessing education and language support.
  • Further Education & Training Resources for Ukrainian Adults in Ireland, offering a wide range of lifelong learning options for those over 16 – leaflets in Ukrainian.
  • Selection of children’s digital books in Ukrainian and with/without English translation available. Access with your library card.
  • Further Education and Training or FET, offers a wide variety of life-long education options to anyone over 16. FET includes apprenticeships, traineeships, Post Leaving Cert (PLC) courses, community and adult education as well as core literacy and numeracy services. FET is for anyone who is over 16 who wants to learn new skills or enhance existing skills to get the right job, progress to third-level or to support the achievement of personal goals.
  • Carlow Education Centre - To support teaching and learning in the local school communities and develop local networks for professional development of educators.
  • NARIC's searchable Foreign Qualifications Database with over 1500 qualifications from more than 150 countries allows you to download a comparability statement that compares your academic qualification to an Irish qualification of a similar major award type and level on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), where possible.
  • New beginner English course for Ukrainian speakers is now available online from Libraries Ireland. The course has over 100+ hours of content and 187 basic vocabulary lessons covering everything from doctor's visits to grocery shopping.
  • Folens language support booklet to support Teachers with Ukrainian children in the Primary and Post-Primary classroom for facilitating better communication and we are offering these two versions for free to be downloaded and printed-off from this link: Folens
