Planning Authorities carry out validation checks on Planning Applications received to determine whether the information submitted constitutes a valid application, or if the application is considered incomplete / invalid.

When a Planning Application is received by the Planning Authority, a validation exercise is conducted to determine if the information submitted is made in accordance with Planning Legislation to make a valid application.
