Creative Ireland Carlow and Carlow Arts Office are delighted to announce that they have once again been successful in securing additional funding for Live Music in Residential Care Homes.
Main body of article: It’s been a wonderful few weeks of music, singing and dancing as the first block of our Live Music Concerts in Residential Healthcare Settings came to a close yesterday in St. Fiacc’s.
One particularly uplifting moment saw an audience member rise to sing a song, a reminder of the power of live music to spark memories and bring people together.
“Round the House and Mind the Dresser,” a phrase many will fondly remember from céilí days, is the theme of this year’s Live Music in Residential Healthcare Settings Initiative. Creative Ireland Carlow is collaborating with Maksym Lozovyi, Alison Behan, and Mad for Trad Carlow to deliver high-quality live music across 17 visits to eight Residential Healthcare Settings throughout the summer.
Creative Ireland Carlow and Carlow Arts Office are delighted to bring these concerts to life once again, working closely with local musicians and Residential Healthcare Settings to ensure that people of all ages can experience creativity and continue to support positive ageing.
It has been a lovely few weeks, and we are already looking forward to the next round of concerts, beginning on 4 August.
