Important Information: Pause on Private Housing Grant Applications has been lifted as of 1st November 2025
Effective from 1st November 2025, applications will be accepted for the following grants:
- Housing Adaptation Grants (HAGs) - Priority 1 and Priority 2
- Mobility Aid Grants (MAGs) - Priority 1 and Priority 2
- Housing for Older Persons (HOPs)
Please see below for more information regarding Priorities1, 2 and 3:
Priority Definitions:
Priority 1:
The person is terminally ill or primarily dependent on family or a carer; or
Adaptations to the home would support them leaving hospital/residential care.
Priority 2:
The person is mobile, but they need help to access washing, toilet facilities, bedroom, and so on; or
The person’s ability to function independently would be harder without the adaptations.
Priority 3:
The person is currently independent but needs adaptations to future proof their home so they can live there independently.
Any new applications will be considered based on the 2026 funding allocation.
