This October Bank Holiday weekend, Carlow Town Centre is the place to be for mischief, movement and memory-making as the Halloween Mayhem Arena bounces into The Exchange at Potato Market. Taking place on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th October, this high-energy, inflatable Halloween experience is designed especially for children aged 4 to 12 years — and promises laughter, thrills and plenty of bounce.
The event is presented by Carlow County Council in association with Airmax Inflatables, and is a highlight of this year’s Samhain Festival 2025 – a county-wide celebration of Halloween, arts, culture and community spirit.
As part of the Samhain Festival 2025, the Halloween Mayhem Arena brings the festive fun right into the heart of Carlow Town, offering everything from Halloween-themed games and bouncy castles to the ever-popular Wipeout inflatable challenge. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes, get active, and dive into a space made for safe, silly and spooky fun.
“The Halloween Mayhem Arena is more than just a fun day out – it's a chance for families to come together in the heart of Carlow, enjoy our public spaces, and make special memories,” said Daniel Pender, leas-cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council. “We’re proud to support events like this that energise our town centre and bring joy to our youngest citizens.”
The Samhain Festival 2025 is organised by a dynamic local partnership between VISUAL Carlow, Carlow County Council, Active Carlow, Carlow Tourism, and the Delta Centre, with strong support from the wider community. The festival aims to celebrate Halloween through creativity, connection, and fun for all ages — with the Halloween Mayhem Arena providing the perfect outlet for younger audiences to engage in the excitement.
Each session at the Halloween Mayhem Arena runs hourly from 10am to 4pm, with tickets priced at just €7 per child. Parents are encouraged to pre-book, as places are expected to fill quickly.
“The Exchange has become a central point for cultural and social events in Carlow,” said Linda Culleton, Economic Development Officer with Carlow County Council. “Halloween Mayhem Arena is a fantastic example of how activating these spaces can support local businesses, increase footfall, and offer families a really memorable festival experience.”
Whether you’re bouncing through inflatable mayhem or boogying in disguise, The Exchange is where Carlow’s Halloween spirit comes alive — loud, lively, and full of laughter.
