
Farmers and farm advisors gathered on the farm of Jimmy O’Neill in Myshall, south Carlow Monday 13th October for an event co-ordinated by Carlow County Council, Teagasc and LawPro.
The event which was called “Futureproof your farm” was attended by approximately 65 farmers and farm advisors.
Attendees participated in a series of information stations covering topics about the farm inspection process by Carlow County Council, inclusion of on-farm habitat ponds by LawPro, benefits of hedge planting and red clover by Teagasc and Nathalie O’Neill and creating on farm willow beds, by Feidhlim Harty.
This was the concluding event of Carlow Climate Action Week 2025, and aligns with the Local Authority Climate Action Plan to support carbon reduction in Co. Carlow.
