Attending the show offers a unique opportunity to Carlow businesses to see developments that will shape the future of the food and drinks industry. The Local Enterprise Office believe it will be particularly attractive to food and drinks producers, retailers and businesses in the hospitality sector, including coffee shops, restaurants, pubs and hotels.

This trade visit, organised by Carlow County Council – Local Enterprise Office, is designed to maximise the benefits for participating businesses. The visit is subsidised and costs €150. Participants will receive direct flights from Dublin Airport, accommodation with breakfast, UK transfers, a networking meal, and two tailored pre-mentor sessions. These sessions are aimed at helping businesses set clear objectives and make the most of their time at the event. With only 8 places available, the initiative is exclusive and ensures a focused and personalised experience for attendees.

Kieran Comerford, Head of Economic Development & Enterprise at Carlow County Council, highlighted the significance of exploring new markets for local businesses. By stepping outside familiar territories, businesses can identify emerging trends, adapt to changing consumer demands, and create new revenue streams. This trade visit is an incredible opportunity for Carlow businesses to access a wealth of knowledge, connect with international partners, and discover products and ideas that can transform their operations, strengthen their competitiveness, and foster sustainable growth for the future.”

Cllr. Fergal Browne, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council, emphasised the importance of engaging with global markets. He remarked, “Getting off the island and engaging with global markets is critical for expanding our horizons and unlocking new potential for our businesses. By stepping outside the familiar, local enterprises can gain exposure to diverse perspectives, innovative practices, and emerging opportunities that might otherwise remain untapped. This initiative not only opens doors to new business opportunities but also fosters the exchange of ideas and knowledge, encouraging collaboration and enabling our businesses to remain competitive on a global stage. It’s about equipping Carlow businesses with the tools, insights, and connections they need to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.”
