Bathing Prohibition Notice Lifted

Carlow County Council has received confirmation from test results that the water quality in both Bagenalstown Designated Swimming Areas has improved significantly and both are now categorised as Excellent.

The HSE’s Environmental Health Officer has immediately lifted the current Bathing Prohibition Notice in Bagenalstown Designated Areas as a result.

Carlow County Council will continue to monitor bathing water quality in Co. Carlow throughout the bathing season.
