Climate Action Week

Carlow Climate Action Week is an annual October programme of events delivered by Carlow County Council, celebrating and showcasing climate action taking place across the county. Through a diverse range of workshops, demonstrations, talks, community initiatives and family-friendly activities, the week aims to spark conversations, share ideas and encourage positive action towards a more sustainable future. By bringing together individuals, communities, schools, businesses and local organisations, Climate Action Week provides opportunities to learn, connect and get involved, while highlighting practical steps that can reduce emissions, protect the environment and build a more resilient, climate-conscious Carlow for future generations.

Carlow Climate Action Week 2026

Carlow County Council is delighted to present an exciting and action-packed programme for Carlow  Climate Action Week 2026 which runs from 3rd -12th October. 

Featuring over 40 events across the county, this year's programme brings together community groups, schools, businesses, organisations, and residents to showcase the many ways climate action is making a positive impact in Carlow.

From energy-saving advice and biodiversity initiatives to youth workshops, film screenings, Podcasts, community gardening projects and sustainable living demonstrations, there is something for everyone to enjoy, learn from and get involved in.

Whether you're looking to reduce your energy bills, support nature, explore greener lifestyles or connect with like-minded people in your community, Climate Action Week 2026 offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of the journey towards a more sustainable future for County Carlow.

Most events are free to attend, but some require advance booking.
