Information for Ukrainians

State-Provided Accommodation

There are different state-provided accommodation options for Ukrainians depending on when you arrived in Ireland and registered for temporary protection. The Irish Government announced changes to these housing supports in May 2026. Further details about these changes are available in Ukrainian and Russian at the following link:

Offer A Home

Carlow County Council has no accommodation available under the Offer A Home scheme and we do not expect to receive further offers during 2026/2027, in light of the above Government announcements.

Rent Supplement 

If you can find your own private rented accommodation and are unable to meet the cost of rent from your own income, you may be eligible for the Rent Supplement payment through the Department of Social Protection:
