Carlow Companies Invited to Seminar on How to Navigate the Cost of Doing Business

In today’s challenging economic climate, businesses across all sectors are grappling with rising costs, tightening margins, and financial uncertainty. From inflationary pressures and supply chain issues to the cost of energy and financing, these challenges are impacting profitability and long-term sustainability for companies of all sizes. To help local enterprises respond effectively to these conditions, Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet and Carlow County Council – Local Enterprise Office are hosting a targeted Management Development Seminar on Tuesday, 24th June 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00noon at the Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow.

Carlow Calls for Creative Talent to Join European Sustainable Craft Workshop in Sweden

Carlow’s creative community is being invited to take part in a unique opportunity that blends heritage crafts with sustainability and innovation on a European stage. Stone & Soul: Sustainable Lithography, Linoleum and Paper for Contemporary Artists is a three-day hybrid workshop and hackathon taking place from September 5–7, 2025, at the Craft Academy Sweden, hosted by the renowned Helliden Folk High School in Skövde, Sweden.

Carlow County Council Launches County-Wide Master Composting Initiative to Tackle Food Waste

As National Food Waste Recycling Week closes, Carlow County Council is proud to announce an exciting new initiative aimed at empowering local communities to take action against food waste. Thanks to funding from the Waste Enforcement Lead Authorities under the Anti-Dumping Initiative, we are delighted to bring a two-part Master Composting Programme to Tidy Towns groups, Allotments, Residents Associations, and Community Gardens across County Carlow.
