County Carlow came alive with festive spirit this holiday season as the #ShopLocalShopCarlow campaign delighted residents and visitors alike with its exciting competitions with two competitions. With over 1,937 entries pouring in, the campaign showcased the community’s enthusiasm for supporting local businesses.

Please note that contrary to yesterdays update we would like to advise that Powerstown Civic Amenity Site and Kernanstown Recycling Centre will open to the public tomorrow from 8.30 am to 4pm.
It is envisaged that normal working hours will apply thereafter.

Carlow County Council have established a Severe Weather Event Control Centre from 09:00 hrs Sunday 05/01/25 in response to the severe weather. The Contact Number is 059-9170302.

Carlow County Council's Homeless Services operates an extended Cold Weather Protocol from November 1st, 2024 to March 31st, 2025.
