Carlow County Council welcomes the announcement of funding by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys in the sum of €832,155 to complete four Town & Village Renewal Projects in County Carlow. The towns and villages of Tullow, St. Mullins, Clonegal and Carrigduff will benefit from this funding.
On hearing the announcement, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council, Cllr. Andrea Dalton, said: “This is fantastic news for the communities of these four towns and villages. This funding is about helping our towns and villages become more attractive places to live, work and do business. The staff in the Council’s Regeneration Department work closely with communities on these funding applications and it is hugely satisfying for everyone when applications are successful. The way forward is ensuring that local people and communities play an integral part in how their local area develops into the future.”
