Parents & Students 4th, 5th and 6th Year
On average 7000 students a year drop out of their first year of College. Karl Hegarty is a Career Guidance Counsellor & Director of Student Support Newbridge. In this talk his aim is to support students to make the best choice with the information they have at their disposal. Karl will advise on the Do’s and Don’ts of the CAO as well as further information on alternative pathways.

From 3:00 p.m, the festivities will kick off with local Christmas markets and food vendors offering seasonal treats and unique gifts. Families can enjoy face painting and visit Santa’s Grotto between 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., making it a perfect opportunity to capture the magic of the season (please note that a small charge applies for visits to Santa).

Businesses across Carlow and Kilkenny are invited to fortify their defences against modern security threats at the "Fortify SME Business Breakfast: Cyber, Physical, Systems & Fraud Protection" on Thursday, 6th March 2025, at the Seven Oaks Hotel, Carlow.
This event is designed to equip small businesses with security tools and strategies. It is being organised as part of Local Enterprise Week by the County Carlow Chamber of Commerce, Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce, Kilkenny & Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Offices with support from the Enterprise Europe Network.

Carlow County Council Franchise Staff will be visiting libraries around the county starting in:
- Borris Library Wednesday 14th May from 11am to 1pm
- Muinebheag Library Thursday 15th May from 11am to 1pm
to assist people to update their details on checktheregister.ie or register for the first time.
