In towns and villages in County Carlow, local communities and businesses purchase, erect, dismantle and maintain Christmas lights, including managing and paying the electricity bills. Over the past number of years Carlow County Council has provided financial assistance to these groups in the form of a Christmas Lights Grant.
The Council has made financial provision in its budget this year again to provide similar grant assistance. Applications are directly made to the Economic Development Officer in the Local Enterprise Office on enterprise@carlowcoco.ie or by calling 059-9129783
